Darío started his career in advertising in his native Colombia, working as a copywriter, but he was eventually seduced by the dark side of the force and become an art director. He has more than 15 years of experience working with advertising agencies in South America and the United States which include FCB, Saatchi & Saatchi, Sancho/BBDO, Publicis/Bromley, McGarryBowen & now Dieste. During the course of his career, his work has been recognized in almost every major ad festival including Cannes, Clio, LIA, One Show, Fiap, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, USH Idea Awards, El Diente, Advertising Age Hispanic Awards, New York Festivals, Festival del Caribe, Addy’s, Condor (Colombia) & Nova (Colombia). Darío’s experience includes the conceptual development and execution of campaigns for a wide variety of national brands in both the Hispanic and total market arenas. His client experience includes working on campaigns for Minute Maid (Coca-Cola), Olive Garden, General Mills, Audi of America, Western Union, Coors Light, Miller Lite, Molson Coors LATAM, Sony, AT&T, General Motors, Las Vegas, Nestle, NBA, The Dial Corporation, & Reynolds Wrap, to name a few.
